Cadet Community Involvement

Candle Light Vigil at the Aurora Cemetary

140 Squadron cadets are encouraged to actively participate in community events that take place in the Aurora area. This involvement teaches them valuable life and work skills like teamwork, leadership, and citizenship, which symbolize the core of the cadet movement. Cadets also reap the personal benefits of increased self-confidence and physical fitness, learning how to take initiative, and how to make decisions.

The main cadets volunteer events include the Terry Fox Run - at Sheppard's Bush in Aurora, the Bob Harwell Challenge, the Magna Hoedown and the Candlelight Vigil at the Aurora Cemetery.

Some cadets also help out with Aurora Civic Appreciation Awards night.
